Some photos of our trip along the Wanganui River

Day 4th, November 6, 2009. We were from National Park, Togariro. We took SH4 going south. When we arrive at Raehiti we decided to take the Wanganui River Road from Pipiriki. Pipiriki was 28 km from Raehiti, into a hilly country road. The view was beautiful. It took us about 1 hr to reach Pipiriki. From Pipiriki onward it was gravel road. So, we had to drive slower. The Pipiriki-Wanganui road was right along the Wanganui River.

Some videos at Tongariro National Park

Yes it has been more than 6 month passed, but you still have some things to share with the universe. This time is some video shots we had while at the Tongariro National Park.  Date, November 5 (Day 3). This was taken while we were strolling along the Taranaki Falls track.  As you might learn, we planned to experience the Alpine crossing but were not allowed to do so (sad) due to the strong wind, more then 70km/hr.  So, instead we stroll along some of the track below.   One of then was this Taranaki Falls track which took us about 3 hr to complete.  I wonder how long we would take to do the crossing.  The Taranaki' normal walk is 2 hour where the Tongariro Crossing is 7-8 hours.  Imagine it is about 3-4x longer.  Can we make it, if the weather had permitted us?
